The Night Circus By Erin Morgenstern

Inside Look
The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience, a feast for the senses. Welcome to Le Cirque des Reves.

Beyond the smoke and mirrors, however, a fierce competition is under way-a contest between two young illusionists, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood to compete in a "game" to which they have been bound. Unbeknownst to the players, this is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will.

Did I Love It?
The Night Circus is a magically woven tale invoking your sense of sight, taste and smell. Erin Morgenstern's words flow effortlessly off the pages with her rich, descriptive voice, lending the reader a detailed look into the world she created. The characters are enticingly colorful and charming, they complement the story well.

The book takes us from the past to the present, but is easy to distinguish because of the dates presented at the beginning of the chapters. There are several storylines that blend together into one enchanting story. I think adding the poem that continues with each chapter is a nice touch and a breath of fresh air.

If you enjoy reading about forbidden love, magic and enjoy a descriptive story, don’t delay-read it today.

The Night Circus is simply an enchantment.
Gracefully Yours,
Elle

I don't think this is a book I would have gravitated towards on my own. But your brief description/review intrigues me...I may need to find it and read it now! Many thanks!
